Pure & True Praise

24 Sep Pure & True Praise

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always yearned to praise God regardless of the situations going on in my life. I didn’t grow up in the best of circumstances and had to deal with an abusive environment. It was one filled with hardship and long-suffering, which seemed to spiral me further down after I got into an abusive marital relationship.

Everyone hears the phrase ‘trials & tribulations’ but they don’t realize the gravity of this phrase. The heaviness that accompanies these words. The sorrows and tears which must be shed as God purifies us… breaking down everything we have known in order to build us back up in His perfect image.

There is a power and an anointing that washes over those who are healed and delivered, and I was determined to experience it first-hand. I wasn’t going to let situations in my life keep me away from church or from giving thanks to God.

In the past, I remember going through the motions of worshipping God, and I knew something was missing in my life. There was an empty feeling inside me – a void that would not be filled. Sure, I’d traditionally go to church each Sunday, clapping my hands and singing my songs, but I had yet to experience that special move of the Spirit which flows into you with the presence of the Lord.

I had to learn through the hard times to continually praise Him, and to be grateful for things that I know only He could have done. There was something God put inside of me which propelled me to reach up to Him in heaven. God delivered me because of my faith. He is with me at all times, and only He rules supremely in my life.

And even though the devil is under my feet, people can still judge based on face value alone. If they only knew the situations that God has brought me out of! If they could only experience even the smallest taste of joy and richness that I feel because of Him. He has a special way of filling every void. I continue to have doors opened up for me which I could have never imagined walking through. It is in the perfection of my praise and the sincerity in my heart that He has blessed me so much.

I pray to God that you realize just how important it is to keep your own heart pure, untainted with the guile that surrounds you, no matter what people try to do against you. Because no matter how hard the devil pushes, God has the ability to hold me up when I feel weak. To carry me when I feel I can no longer walk. To comfort, quicken, and raise up! To bring out and let shine.

I’ve reached that place in my walk. He allowed me to open up my heart in all purity so that I could praise and worship Him without blemish. It is because of these things that I know God birthed “Pure & True” praise from the depths of my heart.

I raise my hands up to Heaven and thank Him for allowing me to stay strong. His presence saturates the environment; it becomes unavoidably recognizable. The awesomeness of His presence releases an anointing to set people free and break chains which have them bound. I know. I’ve experienced it first-hand… and my prayer for you is to walk in that anointing and holiness – to experience pure and true praise.

When you have the right heart, you can take your praise and have it reach God in the heavenly realm, where it is perfected in holiness. There are no thoughts about yesterday’s trials and tribulations, or about the worries of the day. Neither will you have to worry about what tomorrow could possibly bring. When your praise travels back down into the earthly realm, you’ll be in a wealthy place – a land that flows with milk and honey.

Hi! I really love your statement: “When you have the right heart, you can take your praise and have it reach God in the heavenly realm, where it is perfected in holiness.” I feel the exact same way. Thanks for always being an inspiration to me, and helping me grow into a woman of faith. May God continue to bless you and Bishop today and forever more.
