At the edge of the cliffside, in the scorching heat of a season of drought, there stands an isolated tree. The leaves have dried out and fallen. The branches are sorrowful and limp. The sky is clear, giving no indication that there will be rain. No grass. No livestock. No water in sight. A dry and parched riverbed is clearly a sign of devastation to this tree’s livelihood. Yet, the tree’s roots run deep into the terrain, giving hope that the tree will have nourishment to survive the season and flourish.
Life is seasonal.  The Bible says; “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven…” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)  As believers, we must continually abide in God and believe His Word. He is our source of nourishment and sustenance. Apart from His covering and love we are unable to sustain. The cycles of God are predicated on seasons of sowing and reaping. “There is a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance” (Ecclesiastes 3:2-4).
Blessings from God are issued from His House. No matter what season of life you may be in, it is vital that you stay in the sanctuary. When trials and tribulations come, remember God is your foundation, your strong tower. He is your rock in times of trouble, stay in the sanctuary. In seasons where life is exuberant and full of joy, believers must also remain in the sanctuary. No matter what comes, stay in the sanctuary and give Him praise. Praise Him for Who He is! His grace, mercy, and loving kindness towards you never fails. Be joyful for life, for the joy of the Lord is your strength! Whether you are in a season of drought or in a season prosperity, the Bible tells us in Romans 8:28; that everything is working for your good; if you love Him, and are called according to His purpose. Know that you will obtain the prize (heaven) if you faint not.
